I was born and raised right here in Las Vegas. I left home to attend Pepperdine University School of Law, and I graduated with high honors in 1994.
For the past 26 years, I have been representing individuals just like you with their divorces, child custody disputes, child support issues, etc. Helping individuals move on after a difficult or challenging marriage, to find a new path in life.
After law school, I worked for 10 years at a large prestigious law firm, working long hours for clients with deep pockets. But, this was not what inspired me. What inspires me even today is meeting with new clients, and helping them navigate the court process, and move forward with their lives.
Since 2003, I have practiced law by myself -- running a small law firm that maintains a "client-first" mentality. I do not employ secretaries or paralegals to do all the work. All court briefs and pleadings are drafted by me personally. All phone calls and meetings either with clients or opposing counsel are handled by me personally. When you hire me, you get me. And that is what has made my practice successful. Each client receives the personalized attention he or she deserves to make their case successful and to ensure a positive outcome.
Over the past 26 years, I have handled hundreds of cases of all types, involving all sorts of legal and factual issues. I have the experience and knowledge to help you with your case.
My credentials as an attorney are highly regarded. During law school, I was a member of the Dean's Honor Roll. Since law school, I have authored many scholarly articles pertaining to family law, including: AProperty and Contractual Rights of Nonmarital Cohabitants: Putting Western States Construction, Inc. v. Michoff into Proper Perspective,@ The Communique, July, 1994; ARepresenting Children,@ Nevada Lawyer, October, 1995; and AValuation of Business Interests in Divorce: The Significance of the Buy-Sell Agreement,@ Nevada Family Law Report, March, 2000.
Several years ago, I was selected by the Nevada State Bar to author the "Child Custody and Visitation” section of Nevada's Family Law Practice Manual, the "go-to" resource used by most Nevada judges and attorneys.
I understand that every client is unique. Every client has different needs, and/or a different perspective on their case. There is no "one size fits all" approach to family law -- despite what many other attorneys and law firms think. Lawyers that run large divorce mills and handled hundreds of cases at the same time -- do their clients a huge disservice. This is what gives lawyers a bad name. But, that is not me. I care about every client. Let's face it, hiring an attorney is not cheap. You deserve to receive highly personalized attention from an experienced attorney that is personally invested in your case.
On the personal side, I have been married to my wife for 21 years. We have 3 children. I know what raising kids and balancing family and work life is all about. For years, I shuttled kids to and from activities, helped with homework, dealt with raising adolescents, and can personally related to many of the issues and concerns my clients have as parents and spouses.
I welcome you call my office today and speak with me directly about your case. I enjoy talking with people and helping them work through the challenges they face.
